Pumpkin Pie from Scratch! with Pauline Rousseaux

In this delicious hands-on workshop, you'll learn the art of crafting the perfect pumpkin pie from scratch, starting with a flaky, golden crust and ending with a rich, spiced filling. We are thrilled to have local pastry chef Pauline Rousseaux joining as your skilled instructor. Unlock the mystery of yummy pumpkin pie made at home, and leave that boxed pie at the grocery store! GFB Education Coordinator, Karen Temple-Beamish, will be there supporting your learning experience as Pauline's "pastry soux chef".

What you will learn: How to make a pie dough from scratch, and how to make the pumpkin pie puree from pumpkins grown in Pauline's garden.

AND....You will take home a pumpkin pie that you helped make, as well as an extra pie dough to make another pie at home.

AND....You will sample a pre-made pie with tea and your fellow bakers while waiting for your pie to bake!

Pauline Rousseaux is the owner of Pauline's French Macarons. Pauline is from France (Alps) and moved to Canada in 2006. She started baking because she missed the great pastries from back home, and started Pauline’s French Macarons in Golden in 2014, with the goal of sharing her passion for fine pastries. She offers a variety of pastries, birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and treats for other occasions. You may have seen her delectable creations behind the glass at Ethos Cafe!
