Eat Well, Waste Less: Cooking With What You Have

Join us for kitchen demo, dinner prep + shared recipe tasting with local baker & business-owner Laura Daley.

Learn how to create simple, satisfying meals using pantry staples, leftovers, and ingredients you already have at home. In this hands-on workshop, Laura Daley will demonstrate practical, low-waste cooking techniques while guiding participants through two flexible recipes: a cold Asian-inspired noodle salad and a ‘cheaters’ minestrone soup. Participants will gain confidence improvising meals, reducing food waste, and making the most of everyday ingredients while building confidence in the kitchen through hands-on cooking and shared tasting. Participants will also take home portions of what they prepare.

In our new Pantry-to-Plate workshop series, participants will build practical cooking, meal planning, and budgeting skills while learning how to create affordable meals with everyday ingredients and minimal food waste.

This workshop series is funded by a ReDi Grant from the Columbia Basin Trust.
