Small tasks… BIG IMPACT! Your local food bank needs YOU!
🎁 The Holidays Are Coming , and We Can’t Do It Without You! 🎁
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of the food bank. Week after week, they sort food, stock shelves, portion supplies, and do all the little things that keep our programs running. 💛
But right now, we’re stretched thin, and with the holiday season fast approaching, we urgently need more helping hands.
November and December are our busiest months of the year. In fact over half of our annual food and monetary donations arrive during this time and it takes an incredible team of volunteers to keep up with the pace.
We’re deeply grateful for the amazing volunteers who already give their time and energy. You are the reason families have meals on their tables and hope in their hearts. But we simply can’t do it alone. We need more volunteers now to help us prepare, organize, and serve as demand continues to grow.
Small but mighty tasks done by volunteers keep our food bank operating smoothly, and allow our staff to focus on other types of tasks. Vital volunteer tasks include:
Food sorting: Every single food item that comes in to our building needs to be checked for expiry dates and packaging. Accepting donationated food, sorting it and storing it.
Portioning & cutting egg cartons
Recycling & cleaning
Stocking shelves
Helping with food pick-ups
Portioning out food
Packing our meal kits
Helping out in our garden
Supporting staff during food distribution
✨ The smallest support makes the biggest impact. ✨
Your time, no matter how much, helps us fight hunger and spread hope. Whether its 30 minutes, or four hours, ALL of it matters!
