Communal Garden

The Communal Garden program at the GFB supports new gardeners and experienced gardeners to help each other grow food in an established and beautiful garden space. Participation in the Communal Garden increases access to fresh locally-grown food, builds community connections, and supports sharing of resources and skills.

Growers join a team that works together to make decisions, plant, tend, maintain and harvest their assigned garden beds. The land is cultivated by the group, with the labor, knowledge, and harvest shared equally among all members.

The Communal Garden is open to all, with subsidies and space reserved for those who identify as low-income. Intake for the 2024 Growing Season is now closed.
